Grub Recap: Pure Thai Cookhouse

↢ Fried Chicken Wings + Vegetable Spring Rolls
Every now and then the bestie and I like to meet up for dinner dates to catch up on little bits of life we don't know about each other already. We also like to try hitting up different food spots. Of course we have our go-to faves which I'm sure I'll eventually feature here on Glitter and Grub, but for now we'll focus on the one gem that still has me drooooling for more of it's deliciousness.

We stopped over at Pure Thai Cookhouse in Hell's Kitchen to indulge in our crazy craving for Thai food. It was a random find after a number of searches and Yelp reviews/photos. Let me just tell you: I really do rely on Yelp photos more than anything when deciding on places to dine).

Yelp reviews aside, I was more than excited to try this place out. Maybe because I had been itching for Thai food for the entire week, maybe because the thought of spring rolls always makes my stomach extra happy, WHO KNOWS! But this place sure did deliver.
PROS:
● Attentive staff + speedy service
● Affordable with decent portions
● Fresh, delicious, savory
● Text alerts when table is ready
CONS:
 Veeeeery small location
● No phone ahead reservations
● Somewhat loud
● No Happy Hour
● No desserts! (thought I didn't really ask about them)
Wok Roasted Chili with Shrimp

Overall, if I'm just looking for a quick bite to satisfy a rare Thai food craving, this is a place I wouldn't mind visiting again. But, I probably wouldn't go on a cold night. Since it's such a small place, there's no where to stand around and wait until your table is ready. Thankfully, when I went it was a weirdly warm winter night. (I'm still trying to figure out how it was 60 degrees in the beginning of January).

Not Photographed: My Thai Iced Tea I got "to-go" to relieve my tiny post-dinner sweet tooth.
