Five Faves: Cozy Quarantine/Work From Home
Hi, lovelies! I feel like a lot of these posts always start with, "It's been a while since blah blah blah...," because it always has been a while. Which is obviously my fault! But if you follow me on instagram (which is how you probably ended up here anyways) you know I'm definitely more active on there than when it comes to writing on here. Still, I like being able to share in some of my favorite things and I find that jotting them down here is 10x easier to do that throwing together a video on IG. So let's get right down to it, yeah?
Social distancing has been tough. Quarantine has been tough. Working from home has been tough. So these are the things I've kind of been living off of during this time. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they're things you can access and get your hands on sooner rather than later.
1. Leggings [90 Degrees by Reflex | Fabletics | Old Navy]
I've linked a couple of my favorite brands for the coziest, cutest, and most functional leggings. If you're working from home (like I've been) pants/jeans are a thing of the past! It's leggings, leggings, and more leggings all day long. In particular, activewear leggings. For me in my mindset, I throw on my activewear leggings every...single...day to motivate myself to get up and get moving at some point in the day. While I have an online workout subscription plan, sometimes I just feel like dancing it out a la Meredith Grey style.

Youtube has a tonnnnnnn of great dance workouts. I simply plug a couple of them into a playlist and shake it out. Walk back and forth through your hallway. Do some meditation/yoga. S T R E T C H! It really is important to keep your body moving and not just being a couch potato binge watching Tiger King (and, yes, she did it).
Another thing of the past if you've been working from home? A lot of the usual makeup! Plus, now that it's getting warmer out, I like to sit outside and get some work down there. Which is why I love this NARS tinted moisturizer. It gives me the bare minimum of coverage for my video calls (which I'm okay with because my skin has been looking GREAT thanks for quarantine) and also protects my face from the sun. Total win/win!
A lack of leaving my house = a lack of coffee shop visits = having to DIY my favorite drinks. Thanks to think little cold brew pitcher, I can have my favorite iced coffee drink every single morning. It even works with the finest of powdered coffees. (Yeah! I'm looking at you Cafe Bustello 😘)
Okay this isn't really a work from home essential, BUUUUT...I couldn't help myself. These seem to be the thing of the summer and, you know what??? I'm into it! Especially when you have your hair up in a top knot/ponytail/half up half down kind of situation just about all day long. Because...quarantine mood = kinda too lazy to actually do anything with your hair. And at less than $10 for 45 scrunchies??? MEGA STEAL!
I recently purchased a new lift top coffee table in hopes of making my work from home workspace a little more functional. And, while I love the table, I still felt my laptop was too low when I would sit do to work. I already have terrible posture so this was just making it worse, not to mention the neck pain. Cue this gem of a purchase. Now my laptop sits at a decent eye level while still being comfortable enough to type or join a Zoom call.
