UPDATE: LASIK 3-Months Post-Op

by - June 05, 2017

Hi Everyone! I know, I know. It's been a while since I've posted anything. Trust me, I'm making all of the moves to change that. Baby steps, that's for sure. However, I wanted to make a quick post with a quick update on how my little deer-in-headlights eyeballs are doing.

I went for my three month follow up in the beginning of May. I ventured all the way downtown to 42nd street and across town to the East Side, a trip that took about an hour to accomplish only to spend about 10-15 minutes at the office.

...But that's besides the point here.

I met with Dr. Christine Javenes once again during my visit. All of my redness had cleared up in my eyes and some of the dryness I was feeling had subsided. After a few basic eye tests (covering one eye, reading a few lines, switching to the other eye, repeat) she was happy to report that I am officially 20/20 with my vision. She did tell me to continue with using the artificial tears every so often because, upon examining my eyes closer, she noted just a little bit of dryness. Other than that, I was given the all clear and no need to return for 6-months which puts my next visit at the end of the year in December.

I know I've said it a thousand times but I am truly grateful for the team over at Dr. Ken Moadel's office. From the front desk, to the nurses, to the administrative support, and of course the doctors. Everyone is so kind, educated, and attentive. I am so happy that I took the leap of faith in getting corrective eye surgery done because it's truly been the best decision I've ever made in my life. I'm ecstatic about the results I have gotten. It's refreshing to be able to open my eyes in the morning and be able to see clearly.
